Youth Making a Difference

Khristine Gervacio

Its election time once again.  Come May 10, we will elect a new set of leaders to govern the country. We will be given a chance to practice our right of suffrage by electing those who we believe are capable and trustworthy of the position.

The youth comprise 60 percent of the voting population. And to help you make a difference, we compiled articles that can help you make a decision. Featured this May are the “10 Commandments for Responsible Voting”; “The Power of the Youth Vote” and “2010 Criteria for a Leader”.

Another important celebration this May is Labor Day. In this issue, you will see information and announcements about Job and Livelihood Fairs.

We also featured “Hot summer sidelines for the youth” and “12 ways to spend the hot summer”.

Change can start with you.

Click our buttons and enjoy reading.

February 2010

It’s the love month once again.  Love is in the air.  Everyone likes to love and be loved.  Whether its love for family, for a special person, for one’s self or for work, love is always about good feelings.  But it also makes us vulnerable.

So for this month, Teenfad focuses on Love and Relationship.

We have interesting articles about what love is; requirements for a responsible boy-girl relationship; how to have a healthy relationship; cheap but fun and romantic date ideas for Valentines Day; and a story of a young girl who has crushed feelings towards her classmate.

For researchers, check out our library button. We have an article on call centers agents being prone to HIV and AIDS.

All these and more, in this month’s issue of Teenfad! Read on..

Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship

Photobucket

It's time to talk about the "wages" of summer. Teens are practical these days. Instead of just lounging around, they find ways on how to earn some extra 'moolah' for their cell phone load, gimmicks, and perhaps for the looming expenses when they get back to school next month. Teenfad will try to help these teens by suggesting ways on how to earn money this summer.

We all know the benefits of being your own boss. You set your own schedule. You have control over your future. Your actions directly benefit yourself and your family. What's more, having a business teaches you about time management, people-skills, challenge your creativity, and most of all, allows you to discover early on if you have a potential in handling a business.

This month's issue of TeenFAD is packed with articles about being productive. Articles about why you should start your own business and some small business ideas are featured. Luigi and I hope that the story of Angeli Sobrepena will inspire you guys to bring out the entrepreneur in you.

C'mon. Try them out. Who doesn't want extra cash? Look at me, I'm trying to earn by selling orange juice, hehe.
